Well I have been back from London, England for lets see here.....for 18 months. A friend of mine left for her mission a few months after I got back and will be getting back soon. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. In that time, I have not updated or finished blogging the last week of my trip. All I can say is that the last week there was amazing, my mother picked me up from the airport with some Paradise Bakery in hand and one of my bags got lost. (If you have never been there go its a great restaurant that started in Arizona. The girls in my family love the black and white chippers.) Von decorated my room with these target lights that blink.Gordon B. Hinckley once said, "Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around and shouting that he had been robbed. The fact of the matter is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriage require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey....delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Well London was one of those beautiful vistas with a lot of speed, as I hope my adventures in Boston will be. With that in mind I have been reflecting about the last 18th months of my life and there have been sidetracks, dust, cinders, and many different delays but those 18th months have taught me many things and within those moments I also did see beautiful vistas and experienced thrilling bursts of speeds.
With that in mind I want to got back record some of those events, so please bare with me as I go back and reminiscence a little about my adventures in what I like to call my "P"-towns (Peoria and Provo).
It was great to be home for Christmas. In a matter of three weeks, I was a bridesmaid in a wedding, attended a few baby showers, had Christmas with the family, my nephew's 1st B-day, and I also worked at the doctor's office I had previously been working at. It was a busy time.
I was a bridesmaid in my dear friend Briana Jensen's wedding (previously Stubbs). I flew in just two days before the big event. I was worried my dress wouldn't fit but it did. Also during that break, there was a baby shower for another great friend of mine Erika Zank. Many of the girls I spent time with in high school attended it was nice to catch up.
Christmas was a lot of fun because Deidre and Brad came and they brought the monkey David with them. Grandma and Grandpa got him a rocking horse. Needless to say it was the highlight of Christmas, but my Sherlock Holmes Hat I got Von was also pretty cool. My Christmas presents were the best because they were all from London. David turned a year old a few days after Christmas. We had a great party at the park in December, hence why I love Arizona!!!
Mom and I packed up all my stuff for school and I headed back to my old apartment.
