Then we headed up to Salt Lake to stay with my Grandparents. The week between the end of student teaching and graduation, I spent a lot of time at my grandparents. They sold their house that my grandpa had lived in since he was in his 20s. He designed and built the home. It is a lovely home. Many wedding receptions, birthday parities, mission farewells and homecomings, and Christmas celebrations have held our large Lyon family at this home. It was a nice time to spend with my grandparents. I helped my Grandpa go through many of his books in the library. We didn't even get halfway through all of them. I hope to have that large of a library one day!
The next day my parents took me out to dinner on top of the Joseph Smith Building. It is my favorite view of the Salt Lake Temple. Its so beautiful up there. Then we headed back to Provo for Convocation where I got my real diploma. The last man that spoke at the graduation was my favorite. His remarks were short but powerful. If he had been the only one to speak that is all we would have needed.
A BIG THANKS to everyone who helped me graduate and complete my degree, especially my parents MOM, DAD, and VON!
