To make up for yesterday I hit the city hard. I left around ten and didn’t back until around five.
I started the morning by trying to do a walk. However the circle line was not running so we decided to walk to where the walk that we need to do starts. It was a really nice walk through Kensington Gardens. Once we got there we decided to drop by the LDS Hyde Park chapel to fulfill our field study requirement. I have already been here but not for the assignment. Because the science museum is right across the street we decided to get more of homework done. We went to the Development of Medicine exhibit. It was really cool. The floor is absolutely massive. A couple of times we tried leaving but couldn’t find how to get out so we just kept looking at different things. Brooke!!!! They had a whole section on Mesopotamia and I saw some of those scroll things that you made and I was freaking out so much!!!! I wish you could have been there I couldn’t take a picture of them. But I knew all about them because of your project. I also saw Thomas Harvey’s book about the circulation of blood. This was a big deal for me because in my AIM classes in high school I had to do a project on him so I knew a lot about him and he is British so I was really excited. Brad this is for you. I saw a dentist section so I went though it I so glad I went through it I had never really thought about the development of dentistry before looking through this place. Apparently in the begging some were really bad and would knock about good teeth on accident Brad don’t do that okay!!! But they showed how dentures developed. There is a letter in there from our George Washington ordering some dentures and his dentures are also there. It was really exciting. Then I felt like a medieval pilgrim coming to see different relics of saints and it made me laugh that I was excited to see dentures but it was really exciting. The next floor of the museum were different mini rooms starting with rooms moving to present time showing the advancement of medical technology. It was really neat to visually see this there were about 33 rooms.
After we finished here ate a Pret a sandwich store here that is really delicious and pretty inexpensive. Then we headed on the walk that we were suppose to get to a long time ago. This was the superstars walk and we saw were a lot of really cool people live.
First we stopped at the Michelin House. Have you heard of Michelin guides?? Yeah the guy who writes those owns this place. The building is done in tile and is where the Tyre (tire) company was started. Now it’s a really fancy decorating store. It was fun to walk around because I haven’t been in a home store here. Some of the decorations were really funky and others were very classy.
Then we saw Nell Gwyn’s house one of Charles II mistress it was under construction though.
Then we saw what is called the Royal Avenue is was suppose to be a grand avenue leading to this hospital but it failed. This is also the location of James Bond’s address.
The walk we were on pointed out the odd shape of post boxes here so I decided I should take a picture with one even though I think they are normal now and the mail box was apparently was unlocked and it came open. It was really scary because there were letters inside.
Then we went to the Chelsea Pensioner’s Hospital. It has been open since the 1600s its actually really pretty and there is a gold statue of Charles II we didn’t get to see him up close because there was a wedding going on in there. One of the guards started talking to us. He was really strange but told us how to get around the gardens but what he told us didn’t work and felt really entrapped in the gardens. We couldn’t get out and we were like the only people in the gardens it was really eerie.

Um I love it when you update your blog. Brad will laugh. I like the thing about the poppies too. Beautiful and great pictures.

I miss you, love. It sounds like your life is just so full and packed with goodness. I love the way you think of other people you know and love when you go places and see things and learn about them... Keep having a jolly good time! I think I'm going to read your blog more :)
