Well its thanksgiving. This morning we went to a Jewish synagogue. It was really neat to got a tour of one and hear the man talk about it. Then we came home and got ready to go to tea in at Kensington Palace. Tea was a lot of fun. The manger gave us the history of tea and what different types of teas are now used. We had herbal teas. It was a lot of fun we had cucumber sandwiches, then biscuit things, and then cake. It was a lot fun because everyone was dressed up. Then we went on a walk through Kensington Gardens and headed back home. We are now getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner and watching Sabrina because we just went to Paris.
Wednesday was our last day trip we went to Jane Austen’s House and where she was buried. It was really great. There were lots of dresses in her house and I found the dress that I want my wedding dress to look like. I also found a really cool ink well that I got from the house. Afterwards we headed to Winchester where Jane Austen was buried. It was fun to walk around the little town and do some shopping before the tour of the Cathedral. The Cathedral was really cool. And we saw where Jane Austen was married. Then we headed back to the center. Lindsay and I ran over to the theatre and got tickets to see Wicked. We got fourth row tickets. It was amazing. I had never seen it before and we had spectacular seats.
Tuesday was another one of those crazy busy days. I woke up early and did a walk through Holland Park. It was really nice park there were tons of peacocks and this really nice peace garden was there with water falls. After that I went to the Victorian and Albert Museum. It was really cool museum. There are a lot of interactive things to do there. Like you could my your own iconography for your initials and then email to each other. You could build your own chair and make your own frame. I then dashed back to the center for class but got stuck on the tube for 20 minutes and was almost late to class. After class I went to the Old Operating Theatre. This place was really neat. It was a surgical hospital above a church but they could find it for 150 years. You take this crazy small spiral stair case up there. The tour was really cool they show you how they would have amputated different limbs. After this museum I did another walk through Mayfair area. This took us right through the Oxford Street and Grosvenor Square. Oxford Street is a big shopping area and it was all decorated for Christmas and Grosvenor Square is beautiful and the US Embassy is located in part of the square. After all of this I rushed home and ate dinner and went to a Beethoven and Mahler concert. It was amazing!!!!! I loved the Mahler piece. The tympani was amazing throughout the whole piece.

Hi Danielle,
I saw Wicked at the historic Pantages Theatre in California. I agree, Wicked is a wonderful musical. I am so envious of your seeing it in London!!!I am really excited because this coming April we have tickets to see it again in Salt Lake City at the Capitol Theatre. Tea is such a wonderful experience. I am glad you are having such a wonderful time.
Fondly, Aunt Sally
Danielle,
Love your picture, you look fabulous and wonderful. Love that coat and shoes-suits you well. Sabrina, it’s my all time favorite. So how was that cucumber sandwich? Tea looks so fun and what better place than England
Looks like you are doing a great job of seeing it all! I LOVED Wicked in London and Tea at the Orangerie is so fun (they have the BEST hot coco).
I have to HIGHLY recommend the Geffrye Museum at Christmas time they do a fun display of Christmas in different eras (so fun). Thanks again for doing that for me!
