Today I went to class and spent the rest of the day trying to catch up on homework. In my Women Question class we had a mock trial in Parliament debated weather women should have the right to vote. It was a lot of fun to see thirty girls take different sides and create an argument. It was a great way to learn.

Tonight we had a really cool fireside. A guy in our stake was a live during the Blitz of World War II. He came with several of his brother’s and spoke to us about their experiences during the wars. During the Phony War which is was the first year of the war when Germany did not bomb England he and his brother were sent to Wales to live with a family. These families didn’t volunteer to take kids they were assigned. The men said they didn’t really understand what was going on and thought they were on vacation. Looking back now they have no idea how their parents just let them go. Their father came to visit him multiple times and finally took them back to London with them but then they started bombing London but their parents wanted to keep their family together.

He also talked about different types of bombs that were dropped. And he said that they still find bombs in London that never detonated. They recently just found one. I think this is really crazy. Could you imagine finding a bomb??
