This was a very busy day for me. Despite the impending cold I was getting I hit London hard today. I started at the Tate Britain where I was very disappointed to find that they have taken the Lady of Shallot painting off display. I really liked looking at that painting. I finished up a few class room assignments and figured it would probably be my last time there so I went to all the rooms that I hadn’t been to yet. I also found the Turner exhibit I have been longing to see. It was absolutely amazing to huge rooms of just his paintings. I love the way he uses the sun to light up his paintings. After that I walked from there up to Trafalgar Square so I got to walk by Parliament and Westminster Abbey. I ended my walk in Trafalgar Square at the National Portrait Gallery. I finished going through all the rooms I needed to in this place. I really enjoyed this museum. I decided to take a different approach to it. I went through and just jotted down all the names of the people that I knew that had portraits there. I knew a lot!!!! It was really exciting. I got to see Jane Austen, the Bronte’s sisters only painting, William Wilberforce, Charles Dickens, Turner and a lot of kings and queens. After that I headed to finish up at the Victorian and Albert Museum. I was really tired by the time I got there but still enjoyed it. There was a whole section on the crystal palace that I found really fascinating. And I made a book cover. After that I got some dinner and medicine to help my cold along. I came home to finish up some homework and my young women’s lesson. I couldn’t focus because I was so tired so I went to bed and realized that I had a fever because I was burning up in our cold room. I finally got some sleep though.

Boo to being sick. Wow the crystal palace! I learned about that in my English Lit class...it sounds like you are making the most of your time there!
