Happy Halloween!!!! I have a paper to finish so I’m probably not going to go out tonight but oh well. I hope everyone else had a great day.
While I didn’t get any tricks I did get a treat…we sailed up the Thames to Greenwich. This is where Meridian of Time originates along with Greenwich standard time. This is where the creation of standard time originates. The whole word basses time off this observatory. It was really neat. Every day at one this big red ball drops kind of like New York on New Year’s Eve but not as big and obviously no fireworks go off afterwards.
The museums on time and clocks were fascinating we didn’t have enough time to spend on them. I’m planning on going back. The view from the top is amazing. You can see how the Thames bends and the city is built around the river. You also have a great view of the millennium dome.
I spent the rest of the night finishing up papers.
