I still had two classes today even though we were heading off to Ireland. It is a free travel weekend so everyone was a little antsy during class. My last class was women question. This class is really hard to follow sometimes. Our teacher is a little scattered in her thoughts but the topic of the class is really cool to explore. But we had one of the best class discussions we have ever had. We had three groups and debated what each other was implying about the women questions in Persuasion, North and South, and Jane Eyre. It was a lot of fun. By the end we were all a little sad that we had to go off on our trips.
There was a total of eight girls in our group to Ireland. Once we got to the train Station we got our train tickets. This was an ordeal because we got a huge discount because we were students and a group. But I was able to take charge and figure everything out.
Once we got to the airport everything worked out with my name being miss spelled. I just became Davielle for the whole trip. The plane got delayed so we got stuck inside of the airport for a while. It was nice because we all sat down and read the same book. We were getting strange looks from everyone. There was also a group of what I called American Scottish Boy Scouts. They looked really funny in their kilts. There was also a really nice English man we dropped an apple out of his bag but didn’t notice it. So we were all staring at him with a look like aren’t going to pick that up. He apparently didn’t understand that he had dropped his apple and was really confused as to why we were all looking at him. We finally told him he dropped his apple. Then we talked to him for a little while. OH also when I went through security they tested my liquids. I had no idea that they did this.
The plane ride was really neat because we could see water below us most of the time. The landing was really scary. I thought we might not be able to land. I’m really not over exaggerating this when we landed everyone on the plane started clapping because we were on the ground. Once we were off the plane we understood why it was so hard. The wind was blowing really hard. It felt like we were going to blow away.
We found the bus into the city and our hostel without problems. Oh we had to exchange our money at the airport too because we were no longer in pounds. When we got on the bus my ticket wouldn’t work in the little ticket slot so I got to talk to these too really funny Irish men.
We had tickets to the musical Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Getting to this theatre was a little harder because it was pretty far away. We decided to take the bus but somehow missed the right bus stop. We wondered around the theatre for about twenty minutes before we realized we were right there. The musical was really interesting. It wasn’t a very high class theatre. We thought we had bought really cheap tickets but we actually had front row seats. We were so close that the bass player started talking to us. He gave us some good tips for things to see and really enjoyed hearing about America. The musical has the song “This is the Moment” it. I was freaking out because I discovered this song in about eighth grad when I played it on the piano and fell in love with it. The acting in the musical was mediocre but the singing was very well done.
Instead of messing with the buses again we decided to walk home. I was not very happy about this because I was extremely tired. But we made it back to the hostel pretty fast and people that were hungry were able to get some food.

I can just see you taking charge at the airport and then telling all the people that you don't drink so so you won't be trying out the Irish pubs. YEAH DUFFY!
